He pants against your mouth, and you can feel the stretch of his grin—a languorous, satiated smile like the sunrise in the winter. All dark, endlessly so, and then suddenly—
Johnny feels like dusk. The first breach of the morning over the lands; a sleepy haze of light eating into the tenebrose that shrouds everything around you. A steak of ochre, gold, in a world of darkness; the varicoloured smear of pastel clouds breaking over the horizon.
Being with him is a little bit like cupping the sun in the palm of your hand.

warnings: soft!Soap, super soft smut, fluff, domestic bliss, two idiots being drunk off of each other; female gendered anatomy, female!reader; very little substance just pure fluff

Hey darlin. I've had a week from absolute hell at work and I'm in desperate need of some soft!Soap in my life. When and if you have time, would you mind doing a little drabble with Soap pampering his overly stressed and exhausted s/o? Perhaps a well deserved back rub (I need one in the worst way 😫). And spice it up if you like, I'm sure that man's got some serious wandering hands. Much love ❤️🖤

Johnny presses his chest against your back. His heart echoes through your ribs: the steady brag of Atlas. He holds the world on the slope of his broad shoulders—

“Let’s get you to bed, alright?"

—and your heart in the cup of his palm.

hiya, love~ 🖤

sorry this took a bit, but i really hope you enjoy this! @brewed-pangolin

warnings:soft Soap; slight petting–fingering; f!reader, gendered female anatomy; Soap just takes care of you the way the man would

It starts slow—a gradual buildup: nothing immediate or noteworthy. Tension in your brow, an ache in your back. You’ve felt it all before. It’s nothing to worry about.

It’s not that you’re being crushed by anything in particular. There is no weight bearing down on your shoulders, no anvil locked around your neck pulling you down to the unforgiving concrete. You’re not drowning in the middle of an ocean, or clinging to life on the edge of a mountain. And yet—

Heaviness. Brassbound bones filled with hardened lead.

You waver under the ache. The malaise. The ennui.

It’s that feeling of being persistently chipped at until your skin is flayed, muscles exposed; a rawness in the cut of your brow, the sag of your eyes.

You need sleep, but you know nine hours are just not going to cut it.

It’s the slough of life. Another cog in the machine that never stops moving. Grinding you down over time; an erosion until you are pulverised powder.

MWII Cosplay Guides - Kyle “Gaz” Garrick

Part 4 of my ongoing series of Cosplay Guides for Modern Warfare II!

Previous installments can be found below:
John “Soap” Mactavish (link to updated higher-res images)
Simon “Ghost” Riley
Los Vaqueros - Alejandro Vargas & Rudolfo Parra
Side Guide - Helmets of Soap and Ghost

Additionally, the FULL RES versions of these guides are now available for download on my DeviantArt page, organised in their own folder for quick access. You can find them here!

Tonight’s installment is another fan favourite, though we didn’t get as much playtime with him as we did in the previous game. Understandable as he’s the veteran now, and we got more time with Soap and Ghost as a result. I’ll happily accept that trade-off.

Sgt Kyle ‘Gaz’ Garrick! While he did have more than three 'appearances’ in the game, I’ve only chosen to make three as his pure civilian attire is simple and needs no guide, and the other was his Marina kit which is essentially a wetsuit… and who’s going to spend all day at a convention or other event in a wetsuit??

I’ve also included a guide for his helmet and hat. The hat’s pretty straightforward, but the headset with it is a harder one to get a hold of.

I get a lot of asks for tutorials so here’s a little quick one for eyes. Nothing fancy really haha. Additional notes under the cut!

Hey! So kowaii–desu recently requested a ¾ head drawing tutorial and Tumblr kept botching the quality when I tried to respond to her ask, so here it is as a separate post in MUCH higher resolution! Again, I hope it’s not too convoluted and is able to help! Thanks!

Not sure if I'm allowed to request this, but could you maybe show how you draw characters like hiro and tadashi, I love all your art especially the big hero 6 stuff, so it would be really helpful if you could show how you do proportions and stuff like that, cause your style is really admirable.

Hey anon! Thanks so much for your kind words~~ >/////< Haha I wish I had tons of time to explain the ins and outs of my art process—a lot of it comes from what I’ve learned both in school and through trial and error over the years. Someday I’ll make a much more complete tutorial, but here’s my current head-drawing process. I’ve been trying to simplify my style and think more in shapes when I design. But here’s (basically) my process. (Please note I’ve never made a tutorial before and I’m terrible at explaining my process because I always divert from it, but hopefully this’ll help) XD

image

  1. I always start with a circle and crosshairs, as many artists do. It helps me figure out what direction/angle the character is facing, as well as how to fill in the facial features.
  2. Keeping in mind the viewing angle, I draw in the jawline. Normally it’s this rectangular-ish shape (kind of imagine it like a piece of printer paper wrapped around the sphere?). Then I always draw in the bottom of a nose, for placement. Normally I just feel it out.
  3. Features! Eyes go on the eye line. I normally place the ears a little lower than they’re supposed to be (they’re s’posed to start at the bottom on the nose). I break away from the rectangular-ish face shape and give the character cheeks, or a more narrow jaw, as needed. All the while I’m thinking about the character’s personality and overall shape language. I accentuate the features I feel are most important: for Hiro, his eyes and the gap in his teeth, for Tadashi, his nose and eyebrows. Most emotion I try to portray through the mouth, eyebrows, and the area around the eyes/eyelids. I tend to accentuate the noses on most my characters. XD Here’s some generic facial proportions, and eyes and noses :)image
  4. Hairrrrrrrr :) I think of it in chunks, and I try to keep it loose and flowy. In the case of these BH6 characters, I studied their official designs and tried to interpret it in my style.
  5. And finish! Add in some shading, finalize lines, that’s about it.

For full body characters, my process is essentially this:

image

  1. First I start with a gesture—essentially, feeling out the pose and the flow. It’s really fast (only a couple of seconds). It’s just to get ideas for posing out of your head.
  2. Once I finalize a pose I’ll put in some basic structure. Some people use boxes, but I tend to use oval-ish/bean shapes. I try to maintain  the same flow in the initial gesture. Proportions vary depending on the character.
  3. Finalize it! I add in clothes, props, whatever is needed. I’m trying to draw better hands, and avoid adding in too many unnecessary folds. Over time I’ve noticed my style getting simpler and more fluid, which I kinda like!

The best advice I can give regarding learning to draw characters is to study the concept art. Take a look at Jin Kim’s model sheets and Shiyoon Kim’s initial character designs, and figure out what you like about them, and how to interpret it into your own style. Also look at other fan artists and see how they draw your favorite characters. :) I’m still not 100% sold on Hiro and Tadashi in my style, but the more you practice the more you’ll solidify your method! I know I’m really inconsistent, but consistency comes with time. Good luck anon! Hope this helped :P

Tumblr makes it look really low quality, but they’re fine if you click on them~ :)

Tutorial time! Here’s a quick hair tip tutorial for eat-my-shxrts (I’m working on the eyes/facial features one, but since I finished this one I thought I’d post it :) Hope this is helpful, I wish I was better at explaining how I draw XD

I also included a process gif! Featuring some of my faves with varying hairstyles~ :) <3

What I want to see in Young Justice Phantoms (BatFamily):

  • Flashbacks! I want to know the origin story of Jason Todd and how he ended up with the League of Assassins
  • I want there to be a slight twist on how Jason died rather than just copying the comics and movie
  • A dramatic revelation when the BatFamily realizes Jason is alive
  • Tim response to his predecessor being alive
  • When his old teammates find out he’s alive…I want to know who Jason was closest to in the team
  • More private moments between the BatFamily members about personal stuff and not the “mission”
  • ALFRED!!!
  • Seeing a more vulnerable side of Bruce like full of rage and fear about the fact that Jason has been alive this whole time
  • Bruce and the BatFamily on missions together to bring Jason home
  • Nightwing being a big bro with his younger siblings
  • Damian reveal
  • How did Bruce get with Talia again? He broke it off in the YJ comics a while ago and Damian is still an infant so it had to be recent right?
